It is notched at every quarter inch, so simply decide which notch to use. 3: Use pliers to hold the screw. Hold this side firmly. Use the other pliers to grasp the end of the part to be removed. 4. Wiggle the end of the screw up and down and side by side with pliers until the part breaks off.
