Juliana VanLaanen

Starting as an Etsy shop in 2018 while raising three children, she built the company based on her values of sustainability and child safety. Now nationally recognized and featured in major retailers, 2MamaBees has earned over 20 industry awards while maintaining its core mission: creating lasting, joyful products rooted in family values.
Aviva & Arielle
Sisters & Owners of ReVased
Founded in 2019, ReVased was inspired by sisters Aviva and Arielle's weddings, where they noticed beautiful floral arrangements being discarded. This led them to start **"upcycling"** event flowers through sales and donations.
During the pandemic, we pivoted to focus on **sustainable sourcing** and **farm-direct shipping** to reduce waste in the floral supply chain.
Now, we deliver eco-friendly flowers nationwide, partner with sustainable farms, and maintain carbon-neutral shipping practices. We continue our original mission of donating flowers and repurposing event arrangements.
Our efforts were recognized as runner-up in the 2021 Dell Women's Entrepreneur Network Dream Tech Contest, and we participated in Shift Ventures' Conscious Venture Labs and ETC's AccelerateBaltimore accelerators.
Arielle agrees with Aviva (surprise!) that you should try out ReVased. **Feel good one stem at a time.**

Catherine Clishem

Catherine Clishem, a busy single mom who loves to travel, struggled to maintain fresh flowers and plants in her home. Carolina
Owner of NALA Candle Co.
After my son's autism diagnosis in 2007, I focused on being a stay-at-home mom. While I tried various businesses, creating eco-friendly candles became my true passion.
Store-bought candles often caused health issues for my family and quickly lost their scent. When a candle-making kit sparked my interest in 2023, I committed to creating toxin-free candles with lasting fragrances.
After months of development, NALA Candle Co. was born - a family-supported venture focused on sustainability and quality.
Emma Conyngham
Owner of Waste Free Celebrations
Emma Conyngham worked in humanitarian aid with UNDP and UNIFEM Afghanistan (2004-2007), World Vision NZ, and TEARFund NZ, specializing in anti-trafficking initiatives in Asia.
After having children, she founded a craft business making reusable Christmas items. The venture grew from employing Afghan refugees in Auckland to establishing manufacturing in Kabul—bringing her journey full circle from aid work to job creation.
Waste Free Celebrations creates sustainable festive products that become family heirlooms, preserving holiday traditions without environmental impact.
