These pillows are crafted from cruelty-free silk, also known as Ahimsa or non-violent silk — a textile prized for its ethical production method and natural luster. Unlike conventional silk, where cocoons are harvested before metamorphosis, this silk is collected only after silkworms naturally emerge as moths, allowing the fibers to be gathered without harming the insects. Because the cocoon is opened naturally, the silk fibers form shorter strands that are carefully handspun into yarn.
